Meditation is a lifestyle change.  It is a technique that is often misunderstood by many.  Meditation does not mean sitting with your legs crossed, your thumb and index finger touching and the sound of "om" resonating from your throat. What meditation is, is the ability to calm your mind through the use of relaxation tools and techniques.  


We can all get caught up in the story of our life.  Yet often our story works against us, keeping us stuck in negativity and situations that recreate themselves over and over again.  What is your story?  Learn to balance and release behavioural patterns from your past that no longer work for you.  Explore the potential of meditation to transform your thought processes.  Create a more positive and healthy view of yourself and discover how to realize your highest potential.


CHILDREN'S MEDITATION GROUP

We meditate to find and listen to the best part of ourselves.  

Do you ever get sad?  Do you sometimes worry too much over silly things?  Do you get angry and lose your temper?  Meditation can help you become happier and more content.  Let meditation exercises replace the need for time-outs. 
Children can be taught to look to themselves as their own source of calm, relaxation and self-esteem.  In achieving this, they will ultimately be better prepared for all that life offers.

MINDFULLNESS BASED COGNITIVE COUNSELLING

Individuals struggling with despondency, stress or anxiety will benefit from choosing either an 8-week program or individual sessions.   Ask yourself these questions:

Do you feel stuck as a result of your fears, struggle with anxiety, panic or anger, worry constantly, have difficulty sleeping, have racing thoughts, avoid conflict, try to please people?    If you answered "yes" to some or all of these questions, then learn how  to regulate and optimize mood states through the practice of mindfulness.    Sessions allow you to unwind and become relaxed and refreshed.   Learn new tools for dealing with stress, anxiety and unhappiness.  Sessions also help you to overcome negative thought processes, such  as anger and jealousy while cultivating positive behaviours, such as patience and  optimism.

WORKPLACE MEDITATION

A common misconception about meditation is that you have to be at home to engage in it or that it requires an elaborate setup. This is not true. You can meditate anywhere, any time.  Meditating at work is quite simple. For those working in stressful environments, meditation can actually make you more productive and enable you enjoy work even more.
An ongoing meditation or stress reduction program can improve attendance and success rates in the workplace and can be developed to fit into the workplace schedule.   For a one time event, choose from a full day or half day workshop, or a 45 minute lunch and learn seminar .
  For an ongoing initiative, the program can also be set up so that it does not interfere with the workplace routine by being offered before or after work hours. 

This is the complete hands-on stress management seminar for beginners and advanced individuals. Employees will learn a variety of meditation techniques  for different temperaments and cognitive processing styles (audio, visual,  kenesthetic). Each technique has a different object of focus. Employees will  also learn how to develop a personalized stress management program that  can be worked into any time schedule and lifestyle. A variety of  physical, mental and emotional warm ups and breathing techniques are taught to calm the chatter of the mind in preparation for meditation.
